Two more temperature swings this week

After a couple of pretty cold nights, highs Sunday afternoon reached the low and mid 70s, our first afternoon above normal since Wednesday.  The jet stream, which had allowed cooler air into the area the past few days, has moved just north of the area.  This places on the milder/slightly warm side of it.

Monday will be another day with highs in the 70s before a stronger cold front passes through the area late in the day.  Highs Tuesday will be in the lower 60s.

A dip in the jet stream will swing through the area Wednesday, bringing an additional batch of cool air into the area.  Highs Wednesday will be in the upper 50s.  This pattern change will also bring back overnight lows in the 30s for three nights.

The jet stream will then shift well north of the area as it buckles southward in the Plains for the end of the week.  This will bring back temperatures in the 70s by Saturday and some 80s for early next week.  The warmer weather will last through the middle of next week.
