(CNN) – R & B artist Usher will soon be stepping into the boxing ring. According to essence.com, the Confessions hitmaker will portray the world champion boxing legend, Sugar Ray Leonard in the upcoming film, Hands Of Stone.
Leonard retired from boxing in 1997 after a number of comebacks.
The movie is set to begin filming later this year.
