(WTVR) – With spring just a few weeks away and temperatures warming up this week, Wintergreen is closing its’ ski lifts a little early this year.
Temperatures are expected to be in the mid-70’s to 80 degrees this week.
This winter has been unusually warm for all winters on record, in fact this one tied as the fifth warmest.
Wintergreen had hoped to keep slopes open until St. Patrick’s day, March 17th.
Now they are looking to plan activities they have to offer during the warm months.
