Black ice and frost develop Tuesday morning

and last updated

Clear skies overnight combined with dew point temperatures in the low 20s and upper teens, light winds, and some lingering snow-pack to produce Tuesday morning low temperatures in the 20s in all of central Virginia.

Frost and black ice were widespread this morning.

This will be our last freeze until Sunday morning, when colder air will return after a strong cold front swings through the region late Friday.
