HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – A Hanover judge set an April 27th preliminary hearing date Friday for three teenagers charged in the murder of a 16-year-old Atlee High School student.
Xavia Highsmith, Keving Drayton, and Da’Von Byars were accompanied in a Hanover County courtroom Friday morning by their court-appointed attorneys.
The three teens are accused in the fatal shooting of Brett Wells, whose body was found in his Mechanicsville home last month.
Deputies say the murder was the result of a botched drug deal.
