WAVERLY, VA (WTVR) - A Virginia State University student is facing charges after police say she lead them on a 20-mile pursuit with speeds over 100mph.
Around noon Thursday, a Sussex County deputy was on a traffic stop when he reported nearly being hit by a passing Honda Accord, investigators said.
He radioed the information to another officer who clocked the car doing 79mph in a 45 mph zone. We're told the Honda took off, reaching speeds of 105 in a 55 zone.
The Honda drove on Highway 460 towards Prince George hitting 110 miles per hour, and police say not only weaving in and out of traffic but also towards oncoming traffic.
Prince George Police blocked three intersections forcing the driver to turn left onto Rives Road where a passing train forced her to stop.
20 year old Audreanna Transou of Virginia Beach is facing multiple charges. We're told she was being held on a $10,000 bond.
