RICHMOND, Va. -- Manchester High School football coach Tom Hall provide this week's Monday Motivation.

Hopefully everyone is staying healthy and following all protocol during these crazy times.

But just like my strength coach in college used to talk about adversity said, you always face adversity you have to meet it, greet it and defeat it.

You know, anytime we have challenges in our life, we always look at the negatives and during this pandemic, obviously the negatives are being locked up at home, throwing a curve ball in our daily routine, store bought toilet paper, and Netflix.

Well maybe not Netflix, that's not a bad thing.

But look at the positives.

Look at the chances that we get to build some relationships with our families, being able to help people in our neighborhood that might not be able to help themselves. Look at the positives that you have, you know, hopefully your health, having a job still.

So there's a lot of positives that can come out of a bad situation.

We as a community, we will always rise above when adversity comes our way.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone back in our normal routines, going to concerts in Innsbrook, fishing in the James, going to movies, going to restaurants, and especially Friday night football.

Philippians 4:6 says don't worry about anything instead, pray about everything. And that's what we have to do.

I'm hoping everyone stays healthy.

I'm looking forward to seeing my students and all my players once we get back into our normal routines.

My family and I, we're praying for everyone and we'll be seeing you very soon. Go Lancers!
