RICHMOND, Va. -- Hundreds of hungry people were fed by a Chesterfield taco truck that handed out meal kits on Wednesday.

Javier Ornelas, owner of the El Guapo Food Truck, handed out 400 taco kits with his crew to help feed their community in the midst of COVID-19.

Ornelas said that he is grateful to be able to give back and serve food when so many businesses have been forced to close.

"We've had a lot of support from everybody and I know we've been doing better than some other businesses," Ornelas said. "We're still able to sell food so right now isn't the time to be thinking about profits it's just getting by, getting through, and helping as many people as we can right now.

The truck also took donations for Moments of Hope Outreach, an organization that feeds the homeless in the Richmond area.
