RICHMOND, Va. – The Cameron K. Gallagher Foundation (CKG) is proud to announce National SpeakUp5k Day, a virtual run event held conjunction with Richmond’s seventh annual SpeakUp5k on September 12, 2020 at Byrd Park. National SpeakUp5k Day is an opportunity for individuals and groups to participate in the 5k event from any location. All participants receive race bibs and T-shirts.

National SpeakUp5k Day is the result of requests to bring Richmond’s SpeakUp5k to communities across the country. It is the next phase of CKG Foundation’s virtual run, which historically has participants from all 50 states and four countries. The purpose is to bring individuals, groups and communities together with the shared goal of inspiring positive action toward prioritizing mental health.

National SpeakUp5k Day is part of CKG Foundation’s plan to reach more teens with mental wellness education.
