PETERSBURG, Va. -- A teen girl was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle as she attempted to cross the roadway in Petersburg Thursday morning.
Police said at approximately 7:00 a.m., officers responded to the 1000 blk S. Crater for a traffic accident involving a juvenile that had been struck by a vehicle.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers located a 14-year-old girl who sustained serious injuries. Thos I njuries required the girl to be transported to a Richmond area hospital.
The vehicle involved in the crash remained at the scene.
Police say their investigation is ongoing.
