Richmond police seek information in New Year’s Day Shooting

RICHMOND, Va. -- Richmond Police is seeking information in connection to a New Year’s Day shooting in the Swansboro neighborhood.

Officers responded to the 00 block of East 19th Street for the report of a shooting at approximately 3:49 a.m.

When officer arrived at the scene, they located a woman who has been shot. She was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

"Detectives are asking for anyone with knowledge of the incident or who saw suspicious activity in that area, which is between Hull and Decatur streets, in the early hours of Friday, January 1, to contact detectives," said a Richmond Police spokesperson.
