Richmond Police search for suspect in Northside shooting

RICHMOND, Va. -- Police have asked for the public's help in finding a man suspected of shooting another man on the Northside last month.

The shooting happened around 11 p.m. on Jan. 5 in the Chamberlayne Avenue corridor, according to Richmond Police.

A man was found with a gunshot wound and taken to a local hospital, but his injuries were not life-threatening, police said.

Now, police have identified LaDaniel Womack as a suspect of the shooting.

Womack is wanted by police for multiple counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, malicious wounding and other charges, according to police.
