HANOVER COUNTY, Va. -- A Mechanicsville man has been arrested and charged with possession and production of child pornography.
The Hanover County Sheriff’s Office says their investigation began after receiving a tip from an electronic service provider.
On Thursday, September 17, investigators from the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office, along with local task force officers of the Southern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, executed a search warrant at the residence of Daniel Luke Herring in the 10000 block of Aynhoe Lane.
Herring was arrested and charged with 10 counts of possession/distribution of child pornography and two counts of production of child pornography.
Officials say investigators continue to review the evidence in the case.
Herring is being held without bond at Pamunkey Regional Jail.
