CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- A Chesterfield man did a double take when he walked into his garage Friday night.
The man, who lives in a Moseley neighborhood, said he thought he was seeing things when he spotted the yellow python lying along the side of his garage floor.
“I really am scared of them but it was a beautiful creature," he told WTVR CBS 6 reporter Laura French. "I fear them, but respect them.”
A neighbor who has experience with reptiles, helped the man capture the snake.
The snake was safe Saturday morning and being cared for by that neighbor.
This is one night this Chesterfield resident will never forget, French said.
