CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- A holiday season tradition is returning to Chesterfield County reimagined amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The 2020 CarMax Tacky Light Run will take place across several days and courses in the county.
No only will the 8th annual run be a multi-night event, there will also be an option to participate virtually.
Participants can run one of several courses from 5 p.m to 8 p.m. between Friday, December 11 and Sunday, December 13.
The 6K or 3.72-mile race is a holiday-themed fun run in Chesterfield County’s Walton Park neighborhood and surrounding areas. Additional courses have not been announced at this time.
The event combines tacky holiday lights, with a celebration of an active lifestyle.
The run is an untimed event and good for all levels of fitness. You’re also encouraged to put on your best, brightest and tackiest holiday attire. The run will also take participants throughout the neighborhood filled with festive collections of holiday lights and decorations.
Registration is open now through December 3.
