RICHMOND, Va. -- Spread RVA, a live, local, virtual music festival, is raising money for area musicians this weekend.

The event, which features a different artist each hour, kicked off at 11:30 a.m. and continues until 3 a.m.

"Spread came to fruition in a living room pow wow between five bright minded women with shared visions of a community who faced our inherent conditions, our grief, and our inspiration in order to rise," organizers wrote.

To tune in, search Spread Connection on Facebook or Instagram.

The live stream also features a PayPal link to donate money directly to the artists since they cannot play concerts around town because of the coronavorus.

"Consider donating so we may all continue to give our talents to our communities in the fight for a brighter future," organizers said.
