ABINGDON, Va. -- The performers at Virginia's Barter Theatre, the longest running professional theatre in the nation, are offering on-demand versions of their productions while the venue is closed over the COVID-19 pandemic.
The theatre released a version of their production of "Peter Pan" and officials said their version of "Aesop's Fables" is slated to be released online soon.
In the meantime, the actors are coming together while staying apart at home by creating videos with an important message.
"We created this video ourselves to make sure you don’t forget about us," officials with the Barter Theatre wrote. "Please keep the Barter Theatre family in your hearts and minds during this difficult time — and please give what you can to help put us back to work when all this is over!"
Barter Theatre reps said more on-demand productions are in the works.
