RICHMOND, Va. – Richmond Mayor Levar Stoney said he feels “absolutely great” after recovering from COVID-19 in a virtual press conference he held from his home Wednesday.
Stoney announced he had tested positive for the virus a week ago, and has since been isolating at home.
“Gosh I don’t know the last time I’ve had a fever that high,” said Stoney. “That scared me.”
Stoney talked about some of the other symptoms he experienced, “And also feeling the feeling of disorientation as well...headaches, but also just feeling like man, I feel a little woozy, so I had to take a seat and lay down for a while.”
Stoney said nobody on his team had been exposed, and they did not have to quarantine -- but he was not sure if he had exposed anyone at public events.
Stoney's State of the City address was pushed back to Thursday, Feb. 11 due to him falling ill.
