HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- The Henrico County Public School's Health Committee will meet Monday to discuss when students should return to in-person learning.

The committee will review the latest data related to COVID-19 in the local area and region.

In November, Superintendent Amy Cashwell announced, with the School Board's support, the county would delay the expansion of in-person learning.

Under the recommendation, grades PreK-2 return to in-person learning on Jan. 11, 2021 (the return date had been November 30.) The return to in-person learning for students in grades 3-5 is scheduled for Jan. 14, 2021 (the return date had been Dec. 7.)

The health committee will look to see if they need to make any changes to the current timeline.

"If there need to be any changes to our timeline for expanding in-person learning, we will communicate with you as soon as possible," school officials wrote on Facebook.
