RICHMOND, Va. -- If you are even considering adoption or fostering a child, imagine what an impact you can make on the life of a child.

Zach thinks often about the kind of parents he would like to have.

"Family means a group of people who like you and take care of you and all that," 12-year-old Zach said. "I would like parents to treat me nice and I would treat them kind also and nice."

Zach likes to ride bikes and play a variety of sports. He also enjoys music like rock, country, and rap.

But more than anything, he wants a family of his own.

"To have a nice family and to have fun and like to be kind to one another," he said.

In Virginia, we have hundreds of children who are ready for foster to adoption. In other words, these children are ready to find their permanent and loving forever families. As Connecting Hearts – A Deborah J Johnston Charity, celebrates National Adoption Month, our “30 Kids in 30 Days” initiative is to bring awareness to 30 kids or sibling who are available for forever homes, but also to shed light on the other almost 700 children who may not be seen. Our kids are all ages and races, they were put in foster care due to no fault of their own. To learn more and becoming a foster to adoption parent(s)click here.
