RICHMOND, Va. -- A Central Virginia veteran-owned and family operated contracting company hosted a food drive to help feed needy families this holiday season.

The Pinnacle Grouppartnered with the Salvation Army to support the agency's emergency shelter and food assistance programs in the Greater Richmond area.

Company officials said the need is greater than ever for this year for holiday food donations because so many families are being affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Many Richmond families need food and will need a local food pantry to survive this holiday season," company officials said.

The exterior home remodeling company used the donations collected to restock local food pantries on Dec. 7.

"We are thankful for the trust our community has given us," company officials said. "This community is what keeps the roof over our heads and food on the table... We hope to continue giving back to our community for years to come."
