PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. -- When Tropical Storm Isaias came through Central Virginia, a private road in Prince George County caved in.

CBS 6 reporter Matthew Fultz shared the story of David Warren and several families who were trapped, with no way out until the road was repaired.

That repair is estimated to cost $50,000.

So, for the latest edition of CBS 6 Gives, Fultz surprised Warren with and the families with some gift cards.

"At CBS 6 we do CBS 6 Gives where we get back to the community, those in need and while we don't have $50,000, I do have a little small something just that we want to give you," Fultz told Warren from across the caved-in road.

"That's awesome. I'm not sure I have the words for that," said an emotional Warren.

"What I'll do is figure out a way that everybody will get an equal share. We'll pay it forward and get out of this mess, we will pay it forward," said Warren.
