Police investigating shots fired reports at Chesterfield apartments

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- Officers are investing reports of shots fired at an apartment complex in Chesterfield County Saturday evening.

Police responded to the call on Tanners Way at the Rolling Wood apartment complex.

Video from the scene just before 6 p.m. showed numerous officers as well as a forensic unit on the scene.

No additional details were available at last check.

A man who lives nearby said he heard four or five shots just after 4:50 p.m. Shortly after that, he said he heard four or five more shots from a different caliber weapon.

WTVR CBS 6 has reached out to police, but officials have not yet confirmed if shots were actually fired or if anyone was wounded.
