RICHMOND, Va. — A Richmond man was indicted Wednesday on multiple charges in connection with a homicide that occurred August 26 in Richmond’s Whitcomb Court neighborhood.
Daquan W. Morris, 24, was indicted by a grand jury on charges of first-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
He was initially arrested shortly after the incident.

Police said just before midnight on August 26, they received a call for shots fired and persons shot in the 2300 block of Bethel Street.
When officers arrived on the scene they found a man and woman suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Both victims were taken to a local hospital.
The woman was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The male victim, Joseph C. Johnson, 44, of Whitcomb Street, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Police said an investigation revealed a fight broke out at a party and gunshots were fired, striking the victims.
