Crews respond to business fire in Hanover County

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. — Hanover Fire responded to a blaze in the 10000 block of Sliding Hill Rd. in Ashland Friday afternoon.

Crews responded to the Cigar Realm at 3:36 p.m. for a fire in the ceiling of the building, according to Hanover Fire and EMS Battalion Chief Jason Williams.

Williams said light smoke was coming from the ceiling upon their arrival. The small fire is now under control.

All occupants had been evacuated and there were no injuries.

Fire crews  remained on scene for cleanup and salvage. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
