CHARLOTTE, NC -- If the last time you played Bop-It was when you were in elementary school, you'll have an opportunity to go back to those days: if you find yourself in an Uber, after a night of drinking.

Uber is experimenting with giving the game to drunk passengers. The idea: to keep those passengers busy so they do not distract the driver.

Bop-It is a handheld toy that uses knobs and buttons to test a player's rhythm and coordination. It's also addicting -- which is what the ride-sharing service is counting on, to keep inebriated riders occupied.

The test is only happening in Charlotte, for the time being.
