The 97th meeting between Virginia and Virginia Tech was not short on drama. One of the biggest storylines was this would be the final regular season game for Hokies' Head Coach Frank Beamer and could be the last appearance at Scott Stadium for Mike London. The Hokies beat UVA 23-20 for their 12th straight win over the Cavs that extended their consecutive bowl streak to 23 and allowed Beamer to coach one more game.
