RICHMOND, Va. -- A HAZMAT crew is investigating a suspicious package found on the loading dock outside the Federal Reserve building near Brown's Island in downtown Richmond. While investigators do not believe the package poses a threat, they hope to preserve the suspicious substance found on the package. Police have not yet determined the nature of the substance and and hope to preserve it as evidence.
The operation is taking place on a private road and should not impact traffic in the area. This is a developing story.
