RICHMOND, Va. - Although last week ended with fairly comfortable conditions, temperature and humidity levels both increased on Sunday. The humidity will continue to climb on Monday, allowing it to be rather muggy for most of the week ahead.
Some clouds and the threat for thunderstorms will keep many areas from hitting 90° on Monday, but the heat will increase heading into mid-week.
The combination of the hottest and most humid weather will coincide on Thursday, which happens to be the first day of training camp downtown. Highs will be in the mid to upper 90s, and the afternoon heat index will be over 100°.
A cold front will move through late Thursday into early Friday with some thunderstorms. It will be a little less hot and humid behind the front Friday into Saturday.
