Parking prices, food vendors among changes at Redskins training camp

RICHMOND, Va -- The Washington Redskins will arrive in Richmond next week for their annual summer training camp, but fans can expect to see many changes.

The Richmond Economic Development Authority said fans can expect to pay more for parking, have fewer dining options, and may have to walk to the facility.

Organizers said costs at city owned parking lots will go up from seven to $10. Organizers said the costs increase is due to increased cost to manage the lots including staffing and signage.

The number of food vendors outside the building will be reduced from six to three, those vendor’s have not been named at this time. In addition, the shuttle service will be discontinued.

The redskins will hold 13 practices in Richmond starting next Wednesday. Admission is still free to the public.
