RICHMOND, Va — A woman has been rescued after she fell off a boat around 7:34 p.m. in the Pony Pasture area at James River Park.
According to officials, crews arrived at the scene at 7:41 p.m. where the woman was stranded on rocks. Contact was made at 7:56 as she was brought back to shore safely.
The woman was conscious and breathing and suffered no injuries.
The James River level increased over one foot since yesterday. It was under five feet yesterday afternoon and over six feet this afternoon. The five feet mark is when life jackets are required.
