Fast-moving motorcycle goes airborne after being struck by car

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — Police said the driver of a motorcycle was hurt after he was struck by a car Sunday evening in Henrico County.

It happened Sunday just before 7 p.m. in the 1100 block of New Market Road.

Officers said a car was making a left turn into a business when a motorcyclist going too fast attempted to go around the vehicle.

Officials said that’s when the car ended up striking the bike and the motorcycle went airborne.

The motorcyclist, who suffered a broken leg and was taken to VCU Medical Center, is being charged with reckless driving
