CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Police are searching for a suspect who robbed the Wells Fargo Bank at 9601 Amberdale Drive at about 11:15 a.m. today.

Police said the suspect produced a handgun and demanded money. No one was injured during the robbery. Police said, the suspect then fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

Cecile Mock lives in the housing development next to Wells Fargo and she`s concerned about the robbery. “Very scary,” Mock said. “Rockwood Park is right here in fact our property adjoins to Rockwood Park so it’s a little scary knowing that he`s still out there and there`s so much park land there.”

Mock said she hopes the gunman is found before he strikes again.

The suspect is described as a white male, 20 to 30 years of age, about 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 160 to 180 pounds. He was wearing a dark colored ski mask, dark sweatshirt, and blue jeans.

Anyone with information should contact the Chesterfield County Police Department at 804-748-1251 or Crime Solvers at 804-748-0660 or text the code "WATSON" plus your message and send to 274637 (CRIMES).
