Tip from ‘concerned citizen’ leads police to arrest 73-year-old suspected bank robber

COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. — Colonial Heights Police apprehended a man wanted for the Thursday morning bank robbery at the Virginia Commonwealth Bank on the 3200 block of the Boulevard. Police took 73-year-old Thomas Leath into custody at his home on Jeff Davis Highway in Chesterfield County without incident, police said.

Police made the arrest after a tip from a concerned citizen. Leath is being held at the Riverside Regional Jail without bond.
