Two left wounded in overnight shootings

RICHMOND, Va. — Richmond police are investigating two unrelated shootings in the early morning hours.

Officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 1200 block of St. John Street around 11:00 pm Saturday night.

Police found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

Paramedics took the victim to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

About two and a half hours later police responded to a call about a shooting in the 300 block of West Roanoke Street.

Officer found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and taken to the hospital.

Police expect the victim to be okay.
