HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- If you've driven or walked by the wooded area beside Short Pump Park you've probably noticed logging trucks and big equipment.
That's because construction is underway to expand the sports field, small playground and shelter on the park's already existing 45 acres. It will include a dog park, walking trails, and a "sprayground," according to the Henrico County government website.
A "sprayground" is a bunch of pop-up fountains.
The county has almost $3 million in funding for the project, according to the website.
The new park is scheduled to open in May 2016.
