HENRICO, Va. — On Friday a new winner emerged in the Republican primary race for Henrico Commonwealth Attorney.

Tony H. Pham became the lead candidate with 68 votes over opponent Jeffrey Everhart. Everhart had a 32-vote lead, and is now behind by 68 votes, according to State Election Board data.

The most recently entered votes are from Pinchbeck which is district 412 in west Henrico. The votes were entered at 9 a.m., according to online election results.

Pham currently has 7,377 votes to Everhart’s 7,309.

Opponent Shannon D. Dillon has 3,378.

Pham has not been certified as the official winner yet.

The winner will face Shannon Tyalor in November. Democrat Taylor’s 2011 victory over her opponent Bill Janis came as a surprise to many. She won in a district which often votes for the GOP.
