RICHMOND, Va. -- Monday's high temperatures will be in the low to mid 80s, but it will remain in the low to mid 70s right along the coast. We will see a mix of clouds and sunshine. There could be a thunderstorm close to I-81 in western Virginia.
Highs will inch up another couple of degrees on Tuesday, making it the warmest day since last September. Highs will reach the mid and upper 80s inland, with cooler temperatures along the coast. There is the slight chance of an isolated shower or thunderstorm, but the best chance of that will be across northern and western Virginia.
A weak front will drop across the area on Wednesday and bring a better chance of a few scattered storms. Highs will be in the mid 80s for the metro, but 75°-80° well north and northeast of Richmond. The front will wash out on Thursday, keeping an easterly wind throughout the day and the slight chance of a shower. Highs will be in the upper 70s and lower 80s for the metro, but low/mid 70s north and east.
