Warmer weather returns after wet weekend chill

RICHMOND, Va. -- Monday morning temperatures start in the upper 30s and low 40s. We could see a patchy fog this morning, so please drive with caution. There will be some clouds overnight Monday, and a few spots may see a little fog. Some clouds will return Monday, especially in the afternoon, as a disturbance rotates through the area. The chance of rain is less than 20 percent for Central Virginia, but there could be a shower or two closer to the coast. Highs will range from around 60° near the coast to the upper 60s across central Virginia.

Tuesday will be partly cloudy and warmer with highs in the upper 60s and lower 70s.  A storm system will pass just to our south and southeast Wednesday into Thursday.  Clouds will increase Wednesday with some showers possible across far southern and southwestern Virginia.  A few showers are possible towards evening in the metro.  Highs will be in the upper 60s and lower 70s.  There will be some rain around on Thursday, with better chances for rain south and southeast of Richmond.  Highs will be in the mid to upper 60s.
