Good Duggar news keeps on flooding in. Following the birth of Jill and Derick Dillard’s first child, Israel, another “19 Kids and Counting” star is officially in a courtship. The surprising news is that it’s not Jana or John David, it’s Josiah. Josiah, who’s 18 years old, tells People that, as of April 6, he has entered a courtship with Marjorie Jackson, a 17-year-old who he met while taking Spanish lessons from her mother, Analucia.
“It’s been going very well,” says Josiah. “I met Marjorie a few years ago, when I was taking Spanish lessons at her house and I was very impressed with the way she was with her siblings and her love for the Lord.”
Josiah’s attraction for Marjorie grew when they went on a mission trip together to El Salvador in Dec. 2014. He says that’s when “she really caught my eye.”
Of course, Josiah is probably not the Duggar that “19 Kids” fans expected would be the next to enter a courtship. Given that twins Jana and John David are both 25 — older than Jill and Jessa, who were the most recent Duggars to tie the knot — it makes sense that they would be the next to start a relationship.
For now, fans will get to see Josiah and Marjorie’s relationship unfold on “19 Kids and Counting,” which is set to include a special message from Josiah to his sweetheart on Tuesday’s (April 14) episode.
