PETERSBURG, Va. -- A deputy fire marshal is off the job Friday after sources said he failed a breathalyzer test at work.

Sources told CBS 6 News that Jeffrey Fleming was tested inside the fire marshal's office Thursday before being sent home.

A spokesperson for the City of Petersburg confirms that Fleming has been placed on leave without pay, but would not say why.

Sources said Fleming, who was found guilty of DWI in Petersburg in January, currently receives rides to and from his job.
