RICHMOND, Va - Tyren Frazier, Executive Director at Higher Achievement, and middle school student Amia, stopped by our Virginia This Morning studio to talk about the tools Higher Achievement provides 175 students each year to become college-bound scholars. Amia was a participant in this year’s ‘Love Out Loud’ poetry event and shared one of her original works this morning. Higher Achievement is a rigorous afterschool and summer program that provides middle school scholars with a year-round learning environment, caring role models, and a culture of high expectations that build confidence, character, and the skills to succeed. Higher Achievement will host their RVA Going Places Gala on Thursday, April 23rd at 5:30pm at The Hippodrome Theatre.
