NEW YORK — Opening day for the long-awaited One World Trade Center observation deck has been announced, promising “unparalleled panoramic views” of the Big Apple from more than 100 stories above the city’s bustling sidewalks in lower Manhattan.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday at http://www.OneWorldObservatory.com or by calling 844-696-1776. The observation deck opens to the public on May 29.
“One World Observatory will provide guests with unique, panoramic views of New York City, its most iconic sites, and surrounding waters from above 1,250 feet,” One World Observatory said in a statement Tuesday revealing the details.
Opened to the public in 2014, 1 World Trade Center encompasses 3 million square feet and soars 104 stories into the air, making it the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere.
The observation deck, which will include exhibits and restaurants, is situated on levels 100, 101 and 102 of the skyscraper.
Admission will cost $32 for visitors aged 13 to 64. Children aged 6 to 12 will cost $26, and tickets for seniors aged 65 and over will be $30. Guests 5 and younger will be allowed in for free, but still need to have a ticket.
Visitors are encouraged to book their tickets in advance.
