PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. – An accident on Bull Hill Road knocked out power to dozens of customers in Prince George Sunday afternoon.
Police said the single-vehicle wreck happened when a car slammed into a power pole so hard that it shook a transformer, which knocked out power.
Officials said that homes in the 6600 block of Bull Hill Road and the 4600 block of Courthouse Road, as well as the Baxter Ridge subdivision, were impacted.
Crews from Prince George Electric were able to begin working on the pole around 6 p.m. Customers said power was restored around 10 p.m.
