HENRICO, Va. — The future of GWAR B-Q seemed hazy after the death of Dave Brockie, lead singer and mastermind of Richmond-based art/shock-rock metal band GWAR.

But the day after the one-year anniversary of Brockie’s death, the band announced that the  6th Annual GWAR B-Q would be thrown on Saturday, August 15 at Hadad’s Lake, as part of a three-day festival.

GWAR is reaching its 30-year milestone and a slew of events are planned to celebrate. Instead of a one-day event, participants will have three days of bloody fun, the weekend of August 14 through the 16th.

The event was announced via video, and more future details promised soon. Until then, satiate your scumdog self with some intergalatic cooking at the GWAR bar.
