SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. -- Authorities in Spotsylvania County are investigating a fatal shooting on Monday night at a home on the 6000 block Harrison Road.
According to Capt. Jeff Pearce of the Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office, a woman called 911 around 5:45 p.m. to report that her husband had been shot.
Pearce said when the police arrived at the scene, they found a man, 45, dead.
The family’s two children were at the residence at the time of the shooting.
