GOOCHLAND COUNTY, Va. — Virginia State Police are investigating a double fatal crash on I-64 west in Goochland County Sunday night.
State police spokesman Sgt. Steve Vick said the wreck, which happened at mile marker 170 near Shallow Well Road just after 8:05 p.m., involved three vehicles.
Vick said two victims died at the scene. Additionally, two people were also transported to VCU Medical Center. One of the victims had serious injuries. The other suffered non-life threatening injuries.
As of 9:15 p.m., Vick said that the right lane of the interstate was blocked.
Vick said that weather does not appear to have been a factor in the accident.
