RICHMOND, Va. -- Investigators are investigating a fire that broke out at a storage facility at John Marshall High School on Sunday.
Firefighters were dispatched to the school on Old Brook Road around 1:30 p.m.
That’s where they found a storage building outside the school ablaze. While the fire was extinguished, and never threatened the main facility, officials estimated the fire caused about $30,000 in damages.
Additionally, school officials said the building that was damaged was primarily used for record and document storage.
Fire crews said their investigation is still in the early stages, but said they do not believe the fire was accidental.
