ASHLAND, Va. – The Ashland Police Department are looking for the male who robbed the Hampton Inn.
He entered the hotel located in the 700 block of England Street, displayed a black handgun and jumped the counter, taking cash from the cash drawer, according to police.
The crime occurred around 11:30 pm on Thursday, Feb. 19. The suspect put the money into a dark colored book bag and fled in a light colored SUV, possibly a mid to late 1990s GM model, police said.
The suspect is described as a black male, about 5’8” tall, 160 lbs and was dressed in a dark jacket and dark pants.
