CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. – Police have released the name of the man who was found dead under a bridge that crosses the Appomattox River earlier this month.
Chesterfield police said Sunday that the body of 33-year-old James Walton, who has no permanent address, was discovered under the bridge on Temple Avenue, between Prince George County and Colonial Heights on Feb. 15.
Officials said the medical examiner ruled Walton died of hypothermia.
While police are continuing their investigation, officials said they do not suspect foul play.
